What is Fever in Children?

A fever is when your child's temperature reaches 38°C or above, usually because their little body is fighting an infection. It's very common in childhood, and often looks scarier than it actually is. Most fevers pass within a few days with rest, fluids, and plenty of cuddles. But with babies and younger children, it's always okay to check in with a doctor if you're unsure.
