Dr. Boopathy Murugavel is an experienced Ophthalmologist at Aster Hospital in Al Ousais. He has completed his education at Raja Muthiah Medical College and Vinayaka Missions Kirubananda Variyar Medical College and his Vitreous and Retina surgery fellowship from Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital. He also pursued a certified Phacoemulsification Fellowship at Laxmi Eye Institute for cataract surgery. He previously served as the Head of Retina Services at Vasan Eye Care and now heads the Retina Department at Trinity Eye Hospital in Palakkad, India. Dr. Murugavel developed the first Retina Surgery Unit and performed the first Retina Surgery in his hometown of Karur, Tamil Nadu, India.
