How to Use

The Xyzal tablets should be swallowed whole with water and may be taken with or without food

If you take more Xyzal than you should, somnolence can occur in adults. Children may initially show excitation and restlessness followed by somnolence

Description

Xyzal 5mg film coated tablet contains an active ingredient levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5mg, belong to antihistamine class of drugs. This antiallergic medication is used for the treatment of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, itchy, red & watery eyes, allergic cough and nettle rash (urticaria). Xyzal 5mg is not recommended for children less than 6 years since the film coated tablet does not allow for dose adaptation. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Levocetirizine does not prevent hives or prevent/treat a serious allergic reaction (such as anaphylaxis).
