Description
Ventolin 5 mg/ml Respiratory Solution 20 ml is a prescription bronchodilator medication formulated with salbutamol (also known as albuterol) at a high concentration (5 mg per ml) for nebulized inhalation use. Salbutamol provides fast relief from symptoms of bronchospasm such as wheezing, chest tightness, coughing and shortness of breath associated with asthma, chronic bronchitis and COPD. Ventolin Respiratory Solution is designed for use with a nebulizer device that converts the liquid into a fine mist, which is then inhaled into the lungs. This delivery method is especially useful in acute episodes of respiratory distress or in patients who have difficulty using handheld inhalers. It may be used intermittently or continuously, depending on clinical needs, with typical administration repeated every 4-6 hours as necessary under medical supervision. Because Ventolin acts directly on the airways, it works within minutes to help open narrowed bronchial passages and maintain better airflow, offering symptomatic relief that can last several hours. It should be used only as prescribed by a clinician, and proper nebulizer technique should be followed to ensure optimal delivery of the medication to the lungs.
