The formula commonly contains dextran 70 and hypromellose, which act as artificial tears by helping supplement the natural tear film and lubricate the eye surface. These drops help keep the eyes moist and reduce friction between the eyelid and eye surface. This medicine is for ophthalmic use only and should be used as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects may include temporary blurred vision, mild stinging, eye irritation, redness, or watery eyes. These are not all the possible side effects.
