Macroswift Granules - 20 Sachets

Macroswift Granules are a prescription-only osmotic laxative used for the treatment of constipation and, when diagnosed by a healthcare professional, faecal impaction. Each sachet contains macrogol 3350 together with the electrolytes potassium chloride, sodium chloride and sodium hydrogen carbonate. Macrogol works by retaining water within the bowel, which softens hard stools, increases stool volume and supports easier bowel movements. The included electrolytes help maintain normal sodium, potassium and fluid balance during treatment. The granules must be dissolved in water before use and taken strictly according to the prescribed dosage. Common possible side effects include abdominal discomfort, bloating, wind, nausea and diarrhoea. It should not be used in people with intestinal obstruction, bowel perforation or certain severe inflammatory bowel conditions unless specifically directed by a doctor.
