Hemagel Procto 10% Suppositories are rectal suppositories used as supportive treatment for haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and acute or chronic wounds of the rectal mucosa when recommended by a doctor or pharmacist. The suppository contains a patented polymer based on 2 hydroxyethyl methacrylate, which adheres to the rectal mucosa after dissolving and forms a protective layer over the affected area. This local protective action helps maintain a moist environment, supports natural healing, and helps reduce discomfort linked with mucosal injury, including burning, itching, soreness, and bleeding in haemorrhoid related conditions. Hemagel Procto does not contain a local anesthetic and is intended for rectal use only. It should be used with good hygiene, adequate fluid intake, and bowel care to avoid constipation where possible. Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms worsen, bleeding is severe, or the problem does not improve within 7 days.
