Description
Foster NEXThaler 100 mcg/6 mcg Powder for Inhalation is a prescription dry powder inhaler (DPI) containing a combination of beclometasone dipropionate, a potent inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and formoterol fumarate dihydrate. This fixed-dose combination inhaler is primarily indicated for the regular maintenance treatment of asthma in adults whose symptoms are not adequately controlled with corticosteroids alone or in those already stabilized on combined steroid and LABA inhalers. It may also be considered for symptomatic management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults with significant symptoms and a history of exacerbations who remain symptomatic despite long-acting bronchodilator therapy. The NEXThaler device is breath-activated, meaning the medication is released as the patient inhales deeply through the mouthpiece, allowing the powdered medication to reach deep into the lungs with each dose. Regular, daily use as prescribed typically one or two inhalations twice daily for asthma, with dose adjustment based on symptom control helps maintain steadier airflow, reduces shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing, and supports overall respiratory function.
