This medicine is for external use only and should be applied carefully to acne affected areas, avoiding the eyes, lips, mouth, broken skin, and sensitive areas. It may cause dryness, redness, peeling, burning, stinging, or irritation, especially during the first few days of use. These are not all the possible side effects of benzoyl peroxide.
