Augmentin 1 g Tablet is a prescription antibiotic medication prescribed to treat a wide range of bacterial infections effectively. Augmentin combines two active ingredients amoxicillin (875 mg) and clavulanic acid (125 mg). This powerful antibiotic combination is commonly prescribed for infections such as sinusitis, respiratory tract infections (including bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, and ear infections. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete an entire course of this antibiotic as your doctor prescribes. Please do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may return or worsen.
