Folicum 1mg Tablets contains the active ingredient Folic acid also known as vitamin B9 of the vitamin B group. It is reduced in the body to tetrahydrofolate, which is a coenzyme for various metabolic processes. Folic acid is well-absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It was found to be safe in breast-feeding where a healthy woman excretes folic acid into the breast milk enough to fulfill infant requirements.
