Description

Fenistil 0.1% dimetindene maleate antiallergic topical gel used for the relief of itching (pruritus) associated with dermatoses, urticaria, insect bites, sunburn and superficial burns. It has a cooling and soothing effect and contains an active ingredient that belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. It stops the itch (pruritus) by blocking the action of histamine, which is a substance released by the body during allergic reactions. As the gel penetrates well into the skin, itching (pruritus) and skin irritation are rapidly relieved, within a few minutes. Fenistil Gel also has a local anesthetic effect.
