Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets are used for the relief of symptoms of hayfever and other allergic conditions (e.g. sneezing, runny or itchy nose) or for skin rashes (chronic nettle rash, idiopathic urticaria) in adults and children over 6 years of age. Cetirizine is second generation antihistamine that reduces the natural chemical histamine in the body that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Cetirizine is also used to treat an allergic reaction, itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives) and minimizes or eliminates the symptoms of perennial allergic rhinitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, allergic asthma, physical urticaria, and atopic dermatitis.
