It is a single use disposable cover that fits easily and is easy to remove and provides accurate and more hygienic body temperature monitoring. It forms a barrier between ear and ear thermometer and avoids the ear thermometer sensor getting clogged from dirt or ear wax. If the sensor gets blocked with ear wax it might lead to inaccuracy.
