Description
Elica cream is a topical steroid that is used to treat certain skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and rash. It helps reduce symptoms like swelling, itching, and redness and effective in treating skin conditions with inflammation and itching such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. It works by reducing the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation of the skin. When used correctly it is a safe and effective treatment. In treating psoriasis, it reduces the scaly, itchy patches which may develop on the elbows, knees, scalp and other parts of the body. In addition to reducing inflammation (redness and swelling) in the area that they are applied, topical corticosteroids also suppress the immune response, reduce cell turnover, and constrict (narrow) blood vessels.
HOW TO USE
Use this topical medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your Doctor.
Elica cream is only meant for external use. A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas of the skin with clean and dry hands.
Side effects: Stinging sensation at the application site.
SAFETY ADVICE: Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Do not apply it to other areas of your body or use it to treat other skin conditions unless directed to do so by your doctor. Do not wrap or bandage the treated area unless your doctor tells you that you should. Such use may increase side effects.
CAUTION ADVICE: Skin infections, thinning of skin, Diabetes.
