Cationorm Ophthalmic Emulsion is sterile-hypotonic unpreserved eye drops emulsion in the form of a milky liquid which hydrates, lubricates and protects the ocular surface, it is recommended for the relief of dry eye symptoms e.g., stinging, itching, or burning eyes or foreign body sensation. It reduces eye irritation from smoke, wind or prolonged sun exposure and resist eye fatigue after short periods of reading or due to sensitivity to light or long exposure to computer screens. It can be used with contact lenses to relieve eye burning or discomfort. It restores tear film and reduces tear evaporation and has lubricant, moisturizing and protective properties. Cationorm® is an emulsion formed by an aqueous phase and an oily phase. The main components of oily phase are mineral oils. Cationorm® with its advanced formulation not only restores moisture but also helps to prevent fluid loss. Composition includes Mineral oils, glycerol, tyloxapol, poloxamer 188, tris hydrochroloride, tromethamine, cetalkonium chloride and water for injections.
