Description
Panadol Migraine Tablet is an effective (over the counter) OTC migraine treatment. Migraine symptoms may vary, but often start on one side of the head, along with pulsating or throbbing pain. This can be combined with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Panadol Migraine contains acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol and therapeutically active caffeine. Acetylsalicylic acid and Paracetamol are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). They have analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) actions. They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain. Caffeine is a stimulant which works by blocking the action of certain natural substances (adenosine and phosphodiesterase) that reduce the pain. This is how it works to relieve the pain. In clinical studies, patients with moderate to severe migraines experienced effective relief with just one dose. The fixed combination of acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol and caffeine is more effective than single substances and dual combination for the treatment of headache.
