Description

Zerostat VT Spacer works by helping to coordinate the important sequence of actions required for optimal for drug delivery using a metered dose inhaler (MDI) containing asthma medication. This includes: Pressing down on the actuator of the MDI when inhaling. Breathing in deeply as soon as the medication is released. Holding the medication in the lungs for a few seconds before releasing the breath.

HOW TO USE

  • You should use your ZerostatVT Spacer by following the instructions provided.
  • Remove the mouthpiece cover of the MDI and shake the inhaler.
  • Fit the mouthpiece of the MDI into the end of the Zerostat Spacer.
  • Breathe out as far as is comfortable and then place your mouth over the mouthpiece of the chamber. Press down on the top of the inhaler to release a dose of medication into the chamber of the Zerostat Spacer.
  • Breathe in through your mouth until your lungs are full.
  • Hold your breath for a few seconds then exhale through your nose.
  • If a second dose is required, repeat steps 3-6, if not remove the inhaler and breathe normally.
  • Replace the MDI mouthpiece cover and the cover of the Zerostat Spacer.
  • Rinse your mouth after use.
