Vulnamin Wound Healing is a hydrogel that can be used to hyperhydrate the necrotic tissue and induce it to autolysis, simultaneously stimulating the granulation of the underlying vital tissue. It, therefore, facilitates the cleansing of the wound bed when covered with necrosis, fibrin, and cellular debris, assisting the recovery of tissue repair. Vulnamin GEL contains sodium hyaluronate, the main component of connective tissue, which actively participates in the process of tissue damage repair and wound healing. Vulnamin contains the HY4AA formula, a composition consisting of sodium hyaluronate, one of the major constituents of connective tissue, and selected Amino Acids for collagen production. Hyaluronic acid has been shown to promote cell proliferation, differentiation and motility. Vulnamin Induces re-epithelialisation of the wound, which is associated with a marked reduction in inflammatory infiltrate and colonisation of the lesion by newly formed vessels. Vulnamin modulates the inflammatory response, activates fibroblast proliferation, promotes the formation of new blood vessels and stimulates the production of neo-collagen fibres. Thus Vulnamin® has been clinically shown to induce a rapid and progressive reduction in wound size, and to reduce healing time of wounds.
